Yajilin puzzles generally have a lot more white space than a Heyawake puzzle, which makes it harder to avoid the white space can't span more than 2 rooms rule. Maybe you'd have to change the rule to, the loop can't run over more than 2 boundaries consecutively in any row or column.Parahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02367804879917808922noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283950071005526162.post-50072126656298822462012-04-03T06:30:43.491+02:002012-04-03T06:30:43.491+02:00For a moment I thought we are supposed to solve it...For a moment I thought we are supposed to solve it as a single puzzle combining the rules of Heyawake & Regional Yajirin. Then I realised the 2(3) cage must have black cells on both ends and then the Heyawake rule would force a "dead-end" for the Yajirin loop.

Is it possible to create a single puzzle combining both genres?simon_blow_snowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14163659476729862431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8283950071005526162.post-65042267357591880232012-04-01T22:54:43.107+02:002012-04-01T22:54:43.107+02:00Ah, two of my favorites together. The other one was nice too, but the heyawake had a really nice flow to it...
Marcincantdancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17750799705784519293noreply@blogger.com
